Dishwasher Rinsing Aide

Fill rinsing dispenser with vinegar.

Laundry Detergent

4 Cups Hot Water

1 Bar Fels Naptha
1 Cup Washing Soda
1/2 Cup Borax

Grate bar of fels naptha.  Melt greated soap in hot water.  Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full with hot tap water.  Add the melted soap, washing soda, and borax.  Sir well. Fill bucket to the top with more hot tap water.  Stir.  Cover and let it sit over night.  Stir it up again.  Fill laundry container half way with soap and then fill with water.  Shake well before each use.  Makes 10 gallons.

Front Load = Use 1/4 cup (640 loads)
Top Load = Use 5/8 cup (180 loads)

Dishwasher Soap

Washing Soda

Borax

Ratio is 1 to 1.  Fill up soap dispenser like normal.

Waldorf Salad

1 1/2 Cups Miracle Whip

2 Tablespoons + 4 Teaspoons Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoons + 4 Teaspoons Milk
6 Medium Red Apples
1 Cup Chopped Nuts
1 Bag Mini Marshmallows

Mix miracle whip, lemon juice, and milk in a bowl.  Add everything else.  Mix well and refrigerate.

Grilled Southwest Pork Chops

1 Tablespoon Chili Powder

1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 Teaspoon Cumin
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne
1 Garlic Clove
Pork Chops

Combine and spread marinade on pork chops for at least 30 minutes, but for no more than 24 hours.  Grill pork chops.

Cheesy Black Bean Enchiladas

1 Can Refried Beans

1 (8 oz) Cream Cheese, Softened
2 Cups Sour Cream
Cayenne Pepper
1/2 Cup Salsa
1 Can Black Beans (do not drain)
3 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Can Green Chilies 
Tortillas

Mix bean mixture in bowl and microwave for a few minutes until smooth.  Add to tortillas and roll 'em up!  Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Garlic Bread

French Bread

Butter or Margarine
Oregano
Garlic Powder
Parmesan Cheese

Butter up your bread.  Sprinkle a little of each on top and bake or broil.

Pizza Sauce

2 (8 oz) cans Tomato Sauce

1 Teaspoon Oregano
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
Pinch of Salt

Combine all ingredients and spread over pizza crust. 

Chicken Casserole

2 Cans Chicken

1 Can Mixed Vegetables
1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Can Evaporated Milk
1-2 Boxes Prepared Stuffing

Combine the first 5 ingredients in a casserole dish.  Evenly spread prepared stuffing on top.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Alfredo Sauce

1/2 Cup Butter

1-2 Cloves of Garlic
1 (8 oz) Cream Cheese
3/4 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 Cup Milk

Melt butter and saute garlic.  Cup up cream cheese into bits and add to pan.  Add parmesan cheese and milk.  Salt and pepper to taste.  Serve over fettucini noodles. You can add grilled chicken and broccoli too!

Meatloaf

2 Pounds Ground Beef (or Turkey)

1 small Onion, Chopped
1/4 Cup Ketchup
1 Egg
Oatmeal

Combine all ingredients.  Place into a greased muffin pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Fluffy Dinner Rolls

3/4 Cup Milk

4 Tablespoons Butter
3/4 Cup Hot Water
4 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
4 - 4 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Heaping Tablespoon Yeast

Pour milk into microwave safe container.  Add butter to your milk and put it in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes.  Preheat oven to 170 degrees.  Put milk butter and hot water into mixer.  Add sugar and salt.  Add 2 cups of flour and mix for 1 minute.  Add yeast and additional flour 1 cups at a time.  Mix on medium speed for 5 minutes.  

Coat the inside of a 9x13 pan with butter.  Spray a cutting board with cooking spray and lay out dough.  Take a sharp knife, sprayed with cooking spray, and cut into 12 pieces.  Round into balls and place into pan.  Place into oven and let rise for 20 minutes.  Turn up the heat to 350 degrees and bake for 15 minutes longer.  Cover tops with butter!

Muffins

3 Tablespoons Butter

1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
2 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 Cup Milk
2 Cups Blueberries (or whatever you want)

Cream together butter and sugar.  Add and mix together egg, flour, baking powder, and milk.  Fold in blueberries.  Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cinnamon Butter

2 Sticks Butter, Room Temperature

1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Honey
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon

Whip up together and enjoy over warm bread or rolls!

Pumpkin Bread

3 Tablespoons Dry Powdered Eggs

1 Cup + 2 Tablespoons Water
1/2 Large Can pumpkin
3/4 Cup Vegetable Oil OR 1/4 Cup Applesauce
3 Tablespoons Dry Powdered Milk
2 Cups Wheat Flour
1 Cup White Flour
2 Cups Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 1/4 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1-2 Cups Mini Chocolate Chips

Beat the pumpkin, egg powder, milk powder, sugar and water together until smooth.  Add the remaining ingredients together and then pour into heavily greased and floured bread loaf pans.  Bake at 350 degrees for 50-6- minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Buttermilk Pancakes

2 Cups Buttermilk

2 Eggs
4 Tablespoons Oil
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
2 Cups Flour
3/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
3/4 Teaspoon salt

Combine all ingredients and cook!

Apple Stusel Muffins

1 Cup Wheat Flour

1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Butter
1/4 Applesauce
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Dry Powdered Milk
1 1/4 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 1/2 Cups Apples, Shredded or Chopped

Cinnamon Topping:
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Butter, Melted

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Grease muffin pan.  In a large bowl beat together butter, sugar, and eggs until smooth.  Mix in vanilla.  Stir in apples and then gradually blend in the flour mixture.  Spoon into prepared muffin pan.  In a small bowl mix brown sugar, flour and cinnamon.  Cut in butter until the mixture is like coarse crumbs.  Sprinkle over the tops of the batter.  Place in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.  

German Pancakes

12 Eggs

2 Cups Milk
2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
5 Tablespoons Butter

Place butter in a 9x13 pan.  Place pan in oven.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  Combine remaining ingredients in blender.  Blend until smooth.  Remove pan from oven once butter has melted.  Pour in pancake mix and return to oven.  Bake for 15-20 minutes.
